On a beautiful afternoon in Ripon the Bramcote Under 11s enjoyed a good match with Ripon which, as always, was played in a fine spirit. As we were using the pairs format everyone got a bat and we only lost one wicket as all the team played sensibly and hit the bad ball hard. Highlights were Will Newitt's 'Dilshan' and Charlie Cowen's big six. Facing a big target of 153 the Ripon batsmen were soon behind the asking rate although their big hitting skipper gave one or two of the Bramcote bowlers some hammer. The fielding was keen and most of the bowling was pretty tidy.
