In bright spring sunshine but on a lively pitch Bramcote started sluggishly and went behind to well struck Ripon shot. The realisation that they were in for a tight game seemed to spur one or two indivduals on and a couple of well taken goals from Nathanael Warwick gave the home side a narrow half time lead. In the second half Bramcote played much better with improved passing and movement off the ball. Another goal from Nathanael and a truly wonderful strike form Sebastian Moederle- Lumb sealed the win. A determined Ripon side deserved their goal before the end but Bramcote's day was complete when Frank Wilson's speculative 'toe bang' eluded a previously excellent Ripon keeper and ended up in the visitors' net.
A decent enough performance with Nathanael Warwick looking a good player throughout and with the usual hard working determination from Bryn Andrews, Ned Salvin and Josh Baxter. At the back and latterly up front the Duncan brothers both played well and showed how much they had improved since the beginning of term.
