The U11's enjoyed their Sunday morning netball match against the touring team Westville on a beautiful, bright but cold day. Westville made a strong start taking an early 4 - 0 lead in the first quarter and the Bramcote girls were unable to get the ball out of their defending half. In the second quarter the Bramcote girls managed to dodge free more often receiving the ball in a space and the shooters kept possession and Beth McClarron scored two great goals. Ellen, Evie and Deeksha all did well in the defending half of the court in the second quarter especially as they managed to stop the Westville shooters from scoring. After half time Westville put the pressure on again and the Bramcote centre court attacking players - Beth and Romi struggled to feed the ball to Beth McClarron and Lily as their defenders were so tall and we were having difficulty getting in front of them. In the final quarter Beth scored her fourth great goal from a strong attacking move down the court, but Westville were just too strong winning 9 - 4. The Bramcote team played better and better as the game went on and were unlucky not to score a few more. Well done girls.
