The Under 13 boys and girls cross country teams put in a tremendous performance at the Woodleigh cross country - a performance that was all the more commendable because this was their first outing of the season after the cancellation of the SMA and Terrington meetings and the fact that training had been limited (IE non existent!) because of other commitments.
In the girls Anna Fairbank led the way with a superb seventh place and she was well supported by Under 12s Hannah McClarron (12th) and Georgina Newitt (20th) and Camilla Gibbons (28th). The team finished second out of eleven schools - a fine effort.
Nathanael Warwick led the boys home with a tremendous third place while Under 12 Josh Baxter finished in 12th position. Fellow Under 12 Ned Salvin was 42nd but perhaps the performance of the day came from Will Newitt who, although still an Under 11, came in 21st which was some feat in the Under 13 race.
