• Charges will be based on nights reserved. Allowance will be made for cancellations due to illness or special circumstances.
• Occasional charges for a 2nd /3rd child will be £20 per night
• Regular boarders who stay additional nights will be charged at the regular boarding rate
• Occasional boarders who have committed to become regular/full boarders may, at the Headmaster’s discretion, be charged at the regular boarder's rate.

School Shop
The John Cheatle Group now operates this and payment will be at point of purchase.

Notes
In accordance with general custom, it is a condition of entry that a term’s written notice of withdrawal is required; otherwise a term’s fees in lieu of notice will be payable.
All fees are payable in advance on or before the first day of the term for which they are due. The Governors reserve the right to charge interest on any fees, which remain unpaid, and to refuse admittance to any pupil whose basic fees remain unpaid.

Other Extras
(eg tennis, sailing, golf, riding) are charged at cost. Details are avaliable from the Bursar.

Travel
The School runs daily buses from Beverley (via Driffield) and from Malton. Charges avaliable from the Bursar.
The School runs buses to the Humber Bridge, Scotch Corner and York at Exeats and Half Terms. Charges are avaliable from the Bursar.


Scholarships and Awards at Bramcote
Scholarships and Awards are available annually at Bramcote to suitable candidates for entry to the School.
Scholarships will be awarded for ability in the following areas:

Academic
Centenary Scholarship (Available to External and Internal Candidates)
Awarded to children from Year 6, who show outstanding academic potential. Candidates will sit papers in Mathematics, English and Verbal Reasoning. They will be interviewed by the Headmaster and will discuss their papers with the Heads of Mathematics and English. The award has an excellent record in identifying potential scholars to Senior Schools, including Winchester College, Oundle, St Peter’s, York and Ampleforth College.

Academic Awards (Available to External Candidates only)
Awarded to children of 7 years old and less than 12 years old on the 1st September of the current school year. Candidates will sit appropriate tests according to their age in Mathematics and English. They will be interviewed by the Headmaster and one other member of the Bramcote staff.

Music
Philip Wood Music Scholarship (Available to External and Internal Candidates)
Awarded to a child from Year 5, Year 6 or Year 7, who demonstrates outstanding potential on one or more instruments or with their singing voice. Candidates will perform for and be interviewed by an external assessor and will be interviewed by the Headmaster.

All-rounder Awards
All-Rounder Awards (Available to External Candidates only)
Awarded to a child of 7 years old and less than 12 years old on the 1st September of the current school year, who shows sound ability in one or more of the following areas: academic, music, sport, art and drama. Candidates general academic ability will be appropriately assessed with tests in Mathematics, English and Verbal Reasoning. They will then have the opportunity to demonstrate their other abilities to the appropriate member of the Bramcote staff (Director of Music, Director of Sport or Head of Art). Candidates will also be interviewed by the Headmaster.

John Gerrard Memorial Bursary (Available to External Candidates only)
Awarded to a child of 7 years old and less than 12 years old on the 1stSeptember of the current school year, who shows sound ability in one or more of the following areas: academic, music, sport, art and drama. Candidates general academic ability will be appropriately assessed with tests in Mathematics, English and Verbal Reasoning. They will then have the opportunity to demonstrate their other abilities to the appropriate member of the Bramcote staff (Director of Music, Director of Sport or Head of Art). Candidates will be interviewed by the Headmaster and by Mrs Mary Gerrard. Applicants for Bursaries will, in due course, be asked to complete a statement of their financial status, which are strictly confidential to the Headmaster and the Chairman of the Governors.

Bursaries
Candidates who are not successful in the scholarship examinations, but are of sufficiently high calibre may be considered for Bursaries on application to the Chairman of the Governors.
Applicants for Bursaries will, in due course, be asked to complete a statement of their financial status, which are strictly confidential to the Headmaster and the Chairman of the Governors.

Scholarships
The Scholarships are awarded strictly on merit and if there are no candidates of suitable ability the Scholarships will not be awarded.
The value of the Scholarships is between 10% and 50% of the school fees.
The Centenary Scholarships and Philip Wood Music are open competitions and so children already at Bramcote may sit the Scholarship examinations.
