Headmaster’s Letter - 23rd January, 2012
Exeat Travel Arrangements, Fire Fighters Charity Bags, Food Hygiene, Website, Filey Road Resurfacing
Dear Parents,
The children are looking forward to a well deserved break this weekend. They have worked hard in the first few weeks of the term and I hope that you will provide them with opportunities for rest and relaxation over the exeat. The school office will not be manned until 6.00 pm on Sunday evening. Should you need to alter travel arrangements at the last moment, please contact the bus drivers directly (see below). Thank you for your understanding.
Exeat Travel Arrangements – Friday 27th January to Sunday 29th January 2012
The Exeat begins on Friday 27th January at 12.30 pm and ends on Sunday 29th January at 8.00 pm (for boarders) or Monday 30th January at 8.25 am (for day pupils). Travel arrangements have been sent to those people who have requested school transport. Please inform Gina as soon as possible of any changes. Mobile phone numbers are on the travel arrangements so you can contact the various buses direct, if there is a problem.
Fire Fighters Charity Bags
A big thank you to all of you who brought things in for the Fire Fighters Charity collection today. The school will shortly be receiving a cheque for £61.60.
Food Hygiene
Following the introduction of the National Food Hygiene Rating Scheme, Bramcote’s kitchens were given a “spot” inspection at the end of last term (on the busiest day of the term with the catering staff preparing Christmas dinner for the whole school!) I am pleased to say that we have been awarded a Level 5, the highest rating available. I would like to say a big “thank you” to all the catering staff for their hard work in maintaining such high standards and for feeding us so well throughout the year.
Website
I would just like to remind parents that the school’s new website is up and running. The coloured “Notices” on the home page are frequently updated with important information such as last minute changes to sporting arrangements. Match reports are being added under the appropriate sports in the “Playing” section and photographs are being added to the Gallery. The “Friends of Bramcote” page in the “About” section is being updated with news about “Friends” events, meetings and contributions to the school.
Filey Road – resurfacing
Can I just remind parents that the roadworks continue this week, from 7.00 pm to 2.00 am. Please remember that, if you have reason to visit school during the evening, you may find access difficult.
Yours sincerely
