Nursery Leader

I hope that some of you may have already had an opportunity to meet Julie Brayshaw. We are looking to develop our provision for Nursery age (3+) children and I have appointed Julie to lead this area within the Pre-Prep department. We are very lucky to have someone with her experience and enthusiasm with this age of children. If you would like to know more about this development or have friends with children of this age, please contact me, or Judith Panter, we would be happy to talk to you further. I know that Judith and Julie are happy to see people who would like to know more about the Nursery.

I am also delighted to tell you that I have seen six sets of prospective parents already this term. Thank you to all those parents who continue to encourage friends and associates to come and look at us.

Student Mistress

I have also appointed a new Student Mistress, Claire Alderson. Claire is a graduate of Exeter University and is having a Gap Year before teacher-training on a PGCE course. She will assist us in a whole variety of ways. I know she is particularly keen to offer some in-class support to junior forms, something which we are keen to develop further, and contribute to games and activities. She will also help Gina in the office, with admin. work as well as getting involved on the boarding side.

On a personal note, Ann and I would like to thank all those of you who have been kind enough to ask about our last Student Mistress, our daughter Georgia. She is really enjoying her time in Kenya, teaching in a rural school. It has already been a very different, but rewarding, experience for her.

Uninvited Guests

Would you please check your child(s) head for uninvited guests as some have appeared in the school!! The Matrons have checked all the boarding children.  Thank you.
