Dear Parents
Busy Weekend
We have just completed a very busy and successful weekend. Following the Form V Parents’ Meeting, both the Bonfire Party and the “Friends” Quiz Night were great fun. Many thanks to all those parents and staff who gave so freely of their time. A lot of children were also very busy on Sunday. Bramcote’s presence at St Martin’s on the Hill was much appreciated by the congregation, Josh Baxter played the last post with real feeling and Ned Salvin read a difficult passage very well in front of a large gathering. After the Remembrance Service at St Martin’s, matches were held against our visitors from Wisbech, again many thanks to all of those who made Sunday a success.
Chamber Choir – Change of Venue
The Chamber Choir were due to sing on Tuesday 17 November at the YMCA, but the venue has now been changed to St Catherine’s Hospice. Unfortunately space is limited and attendance is by invitation only. Pick up time for day pupils is now 8.00 pm from the Hospice.
“Grease” Costumes
Would parents of Form V & VI children please note that boys will need a pair of jeans (not baggy) and if possible a leather type jacket. Girls will need white ankle socks, black leggings and ballet pump style shoes.
Christmas Gift Idea
Using photographs from the last 12 months, we are in the process of producing a photographic colourful desk calendar for 2010. These will be available to purchase well before the end of term. We thought we would notify you of this now as they would make ideal Christmas gifts for family and friends.
Northbrook Gift Wrap
Just a little reminder that all orders for gift wrapping etc. need to be with Ann Snow by Friday of this week (13th November). Thank you.
Form VI Parent Meeting – Saturday 21 November
Parents of Form VI pupils are invited to attend a parent morning on Saturday 21 November starting at 10.30 am.
