Activities Programme
Children from Form I and II, who stay from 4.30pm to 5.30pm, whilst the older children do Prep, will have some supervised literacy work along with these activities: Monday - Tennis, Tuesday – Carpentry, Thursday – Art, Friday – Craft.
Our plans for the evening activities (6.30pm to 7.45pm) are not yet finalised and will depend a little on the level of support/demand. However, we hope to offer: Monday - Senior Drama Workshop (first 3 weeks), Musical Fun, Chess, DT-making things. Tuesday – Indoor games e.g. Rounders, French Cinema. Wednesday – Quiz, Craft, Cricket coaching (starts Nov.). Thursday - Senior Drama Workshop (first 2 weeks), Craft, Hockey. Friday – Football, Swimming, Art.
There may be some changes necessary to the above programme as the term progresses.
Under 9 matches (Form I and II)
Children in Forms I and II will represent the school in various sports at Under 9 level. Those children in Form I will join Form II for Games each afternoon (Mon to Fri).
Form I children are not normally in school on Saturdays. However, there are a few Saturdays (beginning this week, for boys) when we very much hope that they will be able to play in matches on the Saturday afternoon. If this causes a problem to you, please would you let John Horton (Director of Sport) know as early as possible. As I am sure you will appreciate, our small number of children mean there is not much room for manoeuvre with selection. We do not want to let down the rest of the team, or another school, at the last minute. I hope you will endeavour to support the school as much as possible with this.
