School Trips
Bramcote's location gives easy access to many attractions of Scarborough and the wider region; the world-renowned theatre, blue flag beaches and the North Yorkshire Moors, are literally on the doorstep.
Some trips are organised to enhance topics being taught in the classroom, others purely for enjoyment. Scarborough itself has plenty to offer, with excellent theatres, museums, the Sea Life Centre and beaches all within walking distance. A little further afield, the North York Moors, Dalby Forest, Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay and the many attractions of York are all within easy reach.
Sometimes, school trips venture further afield. The children of Form IV spend a few days camping in the Lake District, where they enjoy some climbing and canooing as well as the challenge of spending a few nights under canvas! The senior children visit the Somme Battlefields in Norther France where they get to see many of the places they have talked about in History . The school also organises a biannual ski trip which is popular with children and parents alike.
